What is a Hivemapper Dashcam?
Hivemapper is building an alternative to Google / Apple Maps – a constantly up to date map, created by Hivemapper Dashcams which are installed in vehicles.
Mapping is big business – it’s a $300B market – and is dominated by a few large players. Together, by installing Dashcams in our vehicles, we can create a constantly up to date, high image quality map.
Maps are used by insurance providers, real estate services, logistics, navigation and delivery apps, and governments, who will pay good money to use the constantly up to date map we create.

Whilst we are not directly affiliated with Hivemapper, we strongly believe in their business model and think they will be hugely successful in capturing market share within the mapping industry.
We purchase the Dashcams for around 450€-500€, give them to taxi drivers like you, and Hivemapper rewards us for contributing to their map. We share these rewards with you by giving you 40% of the Dashcam’s earnings each week.
The only risk for you is the cost of return shipping in the event that we want the camera back. If, for example, you don’t install it, take too long to install it, or for any other reason we want the Dashcam back, you will be obliged to send it back to us within 7 days of our request, at your expense, via the Post Office’s sign for delivery service.
No problem, you can back out at any time without penalty. If you install a Dashcam and decide you don’t want it anymore, you can simply send it back to us & we will find a new driver to host it for us. You will, however, be required to cover the cost of return shipping via the Post Office’s sign for service.

When your mapping data (imagery) is uploaded to Hivemapper via the app, the data is encrypted so nobody can tell which camera uploaded it. In addition, you never give Hivemapper any personally identifyable information – no name, email address, phone number, nothing.
This guarantees security of your personal data. In addition, nobody will ever be able to use the Dashcam to track you.
Whoever you refer will need to put your full name down in the ‘referred by’ field of the registration form.
As soon as their Dashcam has been installed, we will send your referral commission straight to your bank account.
